A little bit about us....
Sweet Siam Thai Bistro is a new 96-seat, full-service restaurant created by owner Michael Brillhart, who began working in the management of similar Thai restaurants in Georgia and Alabama in college. Michael, who is originally from Mission, KS, briefly attended KU and then moved to Atlanta to work for his uncle, who co-founded the popular Surin’s of Thailand restaurant in midtown Atlanta. After learning the business in Atlanta, Michael moved to Birmingham, AL to help open Surin West, and studied business at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. After more than 18 years working for the Surin’s family of restaurants, Michael left Birmingham to return to his hometown to start his own restaurant, bringing with him several amazing Thai chefs who have over 50 years of combined experience.
